My encounter with Bambini nel Deserto in 2021 marked the beginning of an extraordinary and profoundly rewarding journey. Initially, my involvement was purely professional: I developed – and continue to oversee the development of – TheTree, the management system used by the organization. However, what was supposed to be a simple technical project has transformed into an experience that has enriched my life in ways I could never have imagined.
From the very beginning, I sensed that Bambini nel Deserto was different. It wasn’t just another NGO, but a group of authentic people driven by a genuine passion for helping those in need. This authenticity struck me deeply and pushed me to become more and more involved.
Every day, Bambini nel Deserto reminds me of the power of concrete action. Seeing the tangible impact that the Organization has on the lives of so many people fills me with a sense of purpose and gratitude. I have learned that even the smallest contribution can make a big difference.
Working with Bambini nel Deserto has made me rediscover the meaning of solidarity and empathy. It has broadened my perspective on the world and made me understand how interconnected we all are, regardless of geographical or cultural distance.
I am extremely grateful to the Management of Bambini nel Deserto for the opportunity, following the opening of Bambini nel Deserto here in Switzerland, to be part of this extraordinary family of dedicated volunteers and professionals. Bambini nel Deserto not only helps those in need but also enriches the lives of those who participate in it.
For this reason, beyond my work, my biggest thanks go to them and to all those who live and work for and with BnD.
