We are thrilled to announce a new and important collaboration between Bambini nel Deserto (BnD) and Filodiffusione, an association that works to protect and support young emerging artists. This new partnership aims not only to enhance artistic talent, but also to use art as a tool of solidarity, offering support to those who need it most.
Who is Filodiffusione?
Filodiffusione stands out for its commitment to promoting young emerging artists, providing them with opportunities for visibility and professional support. Through this collaboration, Filodiffusione has decided to make its network of artists available to actively support the initiatives of Bambini nel Deserto, helping to spread our message.
First event: an all-female show
The first fruit of this collaboration will be held on October 26, 2024 at the iconic Hard Rock Café in Milan, an unmissable event that will combine music, art and solidarity. It will be an all-female show, with two extraordinary artists as protagonists: Vittoria Sciacca and Caterina Comeglio. Both enthusiastically welcomed the opportunity to participate in this project, putting their talent at the service of a noble cause: supporting the activities of Bambini nel Deserto (BnD).
Who are the artists?
- Vittoria Sciacca is an emerging singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Catania. She has been trying her hand at singing since she was very young, followed by masters in the sector such as Lilla Costarelli and Antonio Monforte, starting to perform live, proposing her covers also along the streets of Etna. Between 2021 and 2022, “Più o meno così” and “Senza Fiato” were released, both entirely self-produced. In the same summer, with her duo (two acoustic guitars and two voices) “Duo per cento”, she opened the concert of Carmen Consoli in Messina.
After finishing her studies, she moved to Milan, where her artistic project received ever greater acclaim. In February 2023, he won the contest for emerging artists organized by OpenStage, ATM and Metro5 called “SanMetro“.
Now, he is working on the production of his first EP. In January 2024 he released another single, entitled “Ricordi” and in August he published “Tu non mi abbracci più”. A few days after his latest release, he opened Ermal Meta’s concert in Zafferana.
The ultimate goal of his music is to “transmit the beauty of small things and invite listeners to close their eyes and open their hearts”.
- Caterina Comeglio, was born in Milan. After training in jazz singing in England, she returned to Italy where she focused on her solo career as a performer. In 2019 she was the overall winner of the Lelio Luttazzi Award with “Scheletri A Ballare”; from here she began a new journey as a singer-songwriter that in 2022 led her to the publication of the EP “Isola” distributed by Hukapan. In 2024 she debuted with her latest unreleased songs at the Monza stadium opening for Elio e Le Storie Tese.
Art that changes the world
During the event, the public will have the opportunity to listen to quality music and appreciate the talent of the artists. In addition, it will be possible to learn about the activities of Bambini nel Deserto thanks to the presence in the room of the management of BnD Italia and BnD Svizzera, who will be available to share information and insights on current projects and future initiatives.
Why this collaboration is important
The partnership between Bambini nel Deserto and Filodiffusione represents a meeting between art and solidarity, two apparently different worlds but united by a common goal: to make a difference. Through this synergy, emerging artists will have the opportunity to concretely support our projects, donating not only their time and talent, but also helping to raise public awareness of important causes.
Don’t miss the chance to participate in this special event, on October 26th, at the Hard Rock Café in Milan.
It will be a moment of celebration, music and above all solidarity, where every note played will be a step towards a better future for the children we support every day.
